Team

President

Adam Claridge-Chang has been SFN Chapter President since April 2018. He is an Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, and a Principal Investigator at IMCB.

Secretary

Zeng Li is the SFN-S Secretary and the Representative for NNI.  She is the Principal Investigator of the Neural Stem Cell Research Laboratory at the National Neuroscience Institute.

Treasurer

Helen Juan Zhou is the Chapter’s Treasurer and Representative for Duke-NUS. She is an Associate Professor at the Center for Sleep and Cognition at NUS.

Director of Seminars

Ajay Mathuru is the Director of Seminars and Representative for Yale-NUS. He is Assistant Professor at Yale-NUS and a Principal Investigator at IMCB, A*STAR.

Director of Membership

Sangyu Xu is the Director of Membership and and the IMCB-A*STAR Representative. She is a postdoctoral Research Fellow in IMCB.

Director of Events

Fu Yu is Director of Events and and SBIC-A*STAR Representative. He is Group Leader of the VIP Program/Brain Plasticity Group,  at SBIC, snf Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology at the YLL School of Medicine, NUS.

Director of Sponsorship

Caroline Wee, a scientist at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, is the Chapter’s Director of Sponsorship. She heads our efforts to raise funds that support the Chapter’s activities.

Assistant Secretary

Chia Sook Yoong from the National Neuroscience Institute leads the effort to make sure the Chapter is in good standing with SFN, and records official Chapter events.

Director of Social Media

Judy Chia Ghee Sng is the Chapter’s Director of Social Media and Representative for NUS’s Pharmacology department, where she is Senior Lecturer.

Webmaster

Joses Ho is the Chapter’s Webmaster. He is a postdoctoral Research Fellow with the ACC group at IMCB.

Representative for NTU-LKC

George Augustine is the Chapter’s Representative for NTU-LKC. George is Professor of Neuroscience and Mental Health, and Principal Investigator of the Synaptic Mechanisms and Circuits Laboratory​​ at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University.

Representative for NTU-SBS

Albert I-Ming Chen is the Representative for NTU-SBS. He is an Assistant Professor in the School of Biological Sciences at Nanyang Technological University.

Representative for TLL

Tong-Wey Koh is the Representative for TLL, and the former SFN-S Treasurer 2015-2018. Tong-Wey is Principal Investigator at Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory

Representative for NUS-Physiology

Andrew Tan Yong-Yi is the Representative for NUS-Physiology. Andrew is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology, NUS.

Representative for NUS Biological Sciences
Emilie Dion is the representative for NUS-Biological Sciences. She is a research fellow in Prof. Antonia Monteiro’s butterfly lab in the Department of Biological Sciences (DBS), NUS.

Representative for NUS Biochemistry
Daniel is an inter-disciplinary neuroscientist applying nanotechnology, artificial intelligence and big data analysis to decipher the mystery of neural circuitry. He also has a keen interest in phototherapeutics and photonics where he brought in wireless near-infrared optogenetics into Singapore in 2016. He is the Representative for the Department of Biochemistry at NUS.

Representative for the Centre for Sleep and Cognition
Hoki Fung is the Representative for the Centre for Sleep and Cognition (CSC) in NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. She is a Research Associate in Professor Michael Chee’s Sleep and Cognition Laboratory in Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS.
